Reading summer Rhineland-Palatinate from June 16 to August 14, 2026 at the municipal and supplementary library Wittlich
All children and young people aged 6 to 16 are warmly invited to participate in the Summer Reading Challenge Rheinland-Pfalz from June 16 to August 14. With the club card, which is available after registration at the library, you can borrow and read your favorite books from the large pool of current Summer Reading Challenge books. Upon return, it must be "proven" in a short conversation or with a written book check that the books were actually read.
By reading at least three books, you earn an invitation to the big closing party on September 27 at the Bungert Oktoberfest tent. There, you can enjoy a large stage show, an exciting raffle, and the presentation of class prizes and certificates.
Additionally, the Stadt- und Kreisergänzungsbücherei Wittlich, as the only library in Rheinland-Pfalz, offers the "English Summer Reading Club." Reading and written book checks in English provide a great opportunity for young people to further develop their language skills.
