Lusthansa in the Ducsaal

A (final) last dance.

Lusthansa is a German Neue Deutsche Welle band, founded in 1981 in Trier. With their first single "Nix Neues in Poona," the group scored a hit and drew early attention to themselves. Shortly thereafter, they secured a record deal with Frank Farian, who discovered and produced the band. In the following years, Lusthansa performed around 600 concerts, earning a solid place in the regional and national music scene.

After decades, the band returned to the stage in a new lineup. Strengthened by experienced musicians from Guildo Horn's circle, core original members Jutta Pardeike (vocals), Pello Bender (guitar), Fritz Meinelt (vocals), and Eddy Hinterscheidt (percussion) continue to be at the center of the action. What was intended as a farewell tour developed into a triumphant comeback: thousands of fans celebrated the songs from "Nix Neues in Poona" to "Pinocchio sitzt im Knast" and "Traumsprayer" and "Wilde Kerls" – timeless, energetic, and cross-generational.

Moved by the overwhelming response and in memory of their long-time companion Frank Farian, the band decided to capture this special chapter: Livehansa – The Flight Recorder. A live album as a musical monument and homage to the producer who turned passionate stage artists into successful recording stars.

Recorded in the Ducsaal Freudenburg, one of the most renowned music clubs in the greater region of Southwest Germany, Luxembourg, and France, the album documents the essence of the band – raw, direct, and close to the audience. In keeping with the story, the work is released on the medium that once wrote international successes: as a strictly limited double vinyl edition.

"Livehansa – The Flight Recorder" is more than a concert recording. It is a piece of lived rock history, a tribute to the shared decades between the band and audience, and a passionate statement for handmade music.

Lusthansa is going Livehansa – and invites you to become part of this special journey.

Tickets are available for €28.50 at the tourist information centers in Konz and Saarburg!
