Maurice Ravel, whose 150th birthday is in 2025, left behind a small but extremely significant piano oeuvre. Works such as Gaspard de la nuit, Valses nobles et sentimentales, Pavane, Jeux d'eau and Miroirs are among the most remarkable compositions in piano literature. The pianist André Terebesi, who lives in Kues, is very familiar with the French piano repertoire. The son of Hungarian parents, he was born in Paris and studied with renowned teachers such as Leonard Hokanson and György Kurtág. Terebesi traces the stylistic development in his large-scale Ravel project with clarity, naturalness and vibrancy.
