Mulo Francel is a saxophonist and globetrotter.He is also known as the creative whirlwind of the ensemble Quadro Nuevo.For many years, he has been playfully traveling the countries of this earth.From Bavaria to the Balkans and Buenos Aires.In his spring-like program Global Players, melodies from distant lands and energetic-elegant jazz meet Latin music and grooves from the Orient.

In Rami Attallah from Cairo, the renowned musician has gained a congenial partner who acts with great taste and rhythm. Together, they have already played numerous concerts in Egypt and Germany and always have a great time making highly inspired music. They also see themselves as bridge builders across ethnic, religious, and political boundaries.

With his childhood friend Didi Lowka on double bass, Mulo Francel founded Quadro Nuevo in 1996. Since then, the adventurous musicians have collectively traveled countless places, explored daring playing styles, and have twice won the ECHO award.Drummer Stephan Ehmig comes from the music scene around Hanover. He enriches the ensemble with his sometimes sensitive and colorful and sometimes sparkling drumming artistry.
