Marco Tschirpke, winner of the German Small Arts Award 2018, combines art, history, and humor in pointed poems and piano pieces. His play with high and low culture is as witty as it is entertaining. Kitchen poetry is also not neglected – for example: "FONDUE – it means: At round tables / Fishing together in murky waters." That Tschirpke is considered one of the cleverest pianists in his field is due to a joy of playing that often tempts him to perform thrilling maneuvers. "Truly great, Mr. Tschirpke, truly great!"
