This beautiful 14 km canoe trip leads to the waterfall in Saarburg, through the enchanting Wiltinger Saarbogen, the only largely untouched stretch of river on the Saar, and past the patron saint of seafarers, Saint Nicholas. This beautiful 14 km canoe tour takes you to the waterfall in Saarburg, through the enchanting Wiltinger Saarbogen, the only largely natural section of the Saar river, and past the patron saint of sailors, Saint Nicholas.

The tour begins with a short detour to the Leuk to the Saarburg waterfall and past the Hackenberger Mill, which dates back to the 13th century, with its multiple consecutively arranged water mills. After that, the trip continues downstream through the wine-slope-shaped river landscape to Schoden. At the ramp above the weir, the boats are transferred, and the journey continues through the nature reserve of the Wiltinger Saarbogen, which with its lively swirls is considered by many to be the most beautiful section of the Saar. The natural experience is unique, as you pass river cliffs, lily fields, reeds and marshes, and wide river meadows with willows and ashes. Many animals live in and around the water, including kingfishers. From the Kanzemer Weir, you paddle the Saar Canal for 2.5 km to Konz-Könen. The tour ends at our canoe station. Participants are required to arrange their own transportation back from Konz-Könen to Saarburg. A bus connection (Line 290) is available, and the starting time is adjusted accordingly.
