Comic reading with Christopher Tauber: The Three ??? - Phantom Highway.

On behalf of Uncle Titus, the three question marks find themselves on a rainy night in ZEUS, a
now-closed excursion site in the middle of the Nevada desert. Here, they are supposed to pick up old, but functional
slot machines. However, the incessant downpour makes a return home impossible. Justus,
Peter, and Bob manage to persuade the tight-lipped caretaker to let them stay overnight at the nearby motel.
But when more unexpected guests arrive, dark secrets about the remote location reveal themselves.
In fact, a real UFO is said to have crashed nearby. And then Peter discovers a phantom-like
figure that haunts the area.
Phantom Highway is now the sixth adventure of the beloved youth detectives told as a graphic novel.
In addition to references to the horror classic by Gaston Leroux, 50s sci-fi, and retro games, this
case also features musical surprises. These come from the pen of New York songwriter Phoebe
Kreutz. Responsible for the overall work is again the proven team of Calle Claus and Christopher
Tauber.

At the comic reading, the graphic novel appears as a film with its own soundtrack on the screen, and author
and illustrator Christopher Tauber shows his playful side as he enthusiastically takes on all the roles of the story.
About the series: Awarded the Max & Moritz Prize in 2018 for best comic for children and young adults and
by now, it has become indispensable in the world of the three ???. What began as a visual experiment by the Kosmos publishing house
in 2015 has grown into a graphic novel series with now six original stories, three adaptations
of popular classics from the series, and two books that illuminate the adult lives of the three ??? in a noir light.
Comic artist and author Christopher Tauber has collaborated on all 11 books, with more in
the works.
