Saar wine festival

For three days, Saar vintners and local restaurateurs will transform the old town of Saarburg into a sociable wine street. The Saar Wine Festival presents wine, lots of live music, the crowning of the Saar-Obermosel wine queens, a musical fireworks display over the Saar, and the traditional parade on Sunday. 

Saturday
From 2:00 PM, joyful gathering in the wine street with delicious Saar Riesling.
4:00 PM - 7:00 PM Short city tour through downtown with the electric carriage departing from Kreisel/Im Hagen.
Price: 10.00 € Adults/5.00 € Children.
7:30 PM Arrival of the wine queens and honorary guests in the wine street.
8:15 PM Solemn enthronement and crowning of the Saar-Obermosel wine queens on the main stage accompanied by the music club Freundenburg. Afterwards, fireworks display over the Saar and live music in the wine street with DJ duo (LVM Marc Schulte stage) and the band Schichtwechsel (Elektro Benzmüller stage).

Sunday
1:30 PM Musical entertainment with the music club Serrig in front of the town hall and with the music club Ockfen in front of the savings bank.
2:00 PM Opening of the wine street and colorful parade from Heckingstraße through downtown to Kreisel Im Hagen.
Additionally, children's program at the cultural foundry Saarburg: games, activities, craft and creative offerings, free admission to the bell foundry museum and homemade cake. Live music in the wine street.
Following the parade, live music in the wine street with Egon Altenhofen (Electro Benzmüller stage), Simon Krista (middle stage), and the Emotions Trio (LVM Marc Schulte stage).

Monday
2:00 PM Wine fun kicks off the week. Live music in the wine street.
From 5:00 PM Schlappengas (LVM Marc Schulte stage).
From 4:30 PM Jürgen Trunczik and from 7:00 PM Ladys Family (middle stage).
From 5:00 PM Unplugged Gang (Electro Benzmüller stage).
