On the Advent weekends from 4 to 6 and 11 to 13 December 2026, Saarburg's old town will be transformed into a glittering winter wonderland. The Christmas tree shines above the Leukbach stream, the aroma of mulled wine entices visitors to the festively decorated stalls, and music, free guided tours, walking acts, St. Nicholas and a children's programme ensure unforgettable moments for the whole family.
Between the festively illuminated Buttermarkt and the waterfall, Saarburg's old town invites visitors to enjoy a unique, colourfully lit Christmas atmosphere on the second and third weekends of Advent. Market stalls offering regional mulled wine, culinary delights, handicrafts and local products are arranged around the illuminated Christmas tree above the Leukbach stream. Free guided tours of the town, walking acts, St. Nicholas, music and children's programmes, as well as performances by clubs and ensembles provide atmospheric entertainment.

Fridays from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Saturdays and Sundays from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
