On the Advent weekends from 4 to 6 and 11 to 13 December 2026, Saarburg's old town will be transformed into a glittering winter wonderland. The Christmas tree shines above the Leukbach stream, the aroma of mulled wine entices visitors to the festively decorated stalls, and music, free guided tours, walking acts, St. Nicholas and a children's programme ensure unforgettable moments for the whole family.
Between the festively illuminated Buttermarkt and the waterfall, the Saarburg Old Town invites you to a unique, colorfully illuminated Christmas atmosphere on the 2nd and 3rd Advent weekends.
Market stalls with regional mulled wine, culinary delights, handicrafts, and local products are arranged around the glowing Christmas tree above the Leukbach. Free city tours, walking acts, St. Nicholas, music and children's programs, as well as performances by clubs and ensembles provide a cheerful entertainment.
