Between the festively illuminated Buttermarkt and the waterfall, visitors immerse themselves every year on the 2nd and 3rd Advent weekends in a wonderful, colorfully lit, and very special Christmas atmosphere in the Saarburg old town. Surrounding the glowing Christmas tree over the Leukbach, the Christmas market stalls are lined up. Traditionally, the Christkindlmarkt presents a festive music and children's program, market stalls with regional mulled wine, plenty of culinary delights, as well as local products and crafts. New and also familiar stall operators offer a variety of goods ranging from wooden crafts to ceramics. St. Nicholas, club activities, brass ensembles, music associations, and plenty of live music provide entertainment. Opening hours: December 5 - December 7, 2025, and December 12 - December 14, 2025, each Friday from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM. On Saturday and Sunday from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
