Sankt Alexius Kirmes

The traditional St. Alexius fair in Arenrath takes place annually in July and is organized alternately by the SV Arenrath and the volunteer fire department. Highlights include the festival tent in the village square, the beer stand, rides, a tractor and trailer meeting on Sunday, as well as the traditional breakfast beer event.

It is tradition to celebrate a festival in July for the patron saint Alexius, who lived as a hermit and collected donations for the poor.
To this end, we have established a festival community GmbH (Company under Civil Law) with the MV Arenrath that organizes this event.
In and around the festival tent, there will be celebrations with shooting booths, a carousel, and a beer stand.
The fair is held in annual rotation with the voluntary fire department of Arenrath.
Performances by various bands with different music genres, music associations, and the traditional human foosball tournament always delight the visitors. 
Additionally, on fair Sunday, there will be a meeting of tractors with wonderful old traction engines from the past.
