Open-Air Music Festival
A prism refracts light into hidden colors – this is how the music of the quartet "Sanne Sanne" feels. Amsterdam native Sanne Huijbregts is an architect of atmospheres, who already shone as a prodigious talent at the Junior Jazz College and graduated with top honors from her studies in Copenhagen and Berlin. Today she creates "Dreamscapes," where her ethereal voice merges with the metallic shimmer of the vibraphone and the synthetic expanses of the xylosynth.
Together with her quartet, consisting of Roosmarijn Tuenter (viola, vocals), Pat Cleaver (bass), and Jeroen Batterink (drums), the winner of the Dutch Jazz Competition 2024 translates this search for grounding into pulsating sound carpets between indie-folk and jazz. In the Brunnenhof, the full range of an artist unfolds who also sharpens her vision as a photographer and filmmaker. In doing so, she pursues her ambition to not just please, but to transport: into gliding yet energetic, floating yet grounding sound worlds.
