SOKO Shakespeare – Mord auf der Hinterbühne

An interactive puppet theater escape evening

Murder and manslaughter on stage were neither unusual nor rare for the public in the Elizabethan era. In the 38 dramas of William Shakespeare, bloody scenes are not held back: murder, treachery, executions, mutilations, and wars are omnipresent. This was reason enough for the Theater Koblenz to plan a spectacular multimedia and cross-genre performance titled “O I am slain” in which the most murderous and intriguing characters from various Shakespeare plays come together: a very contemporary confrontation for performers and audience with the cruelties of the early 17th century. After long and strenuous rehearsals, the premiere seems to be going smoothly, a particularly intense death scene receives great applause, but then the scandal: the corpse does not rise as planned to take a bow. All investigations into the death so far have come to nothing, which is why we need you: the SOKO Shakespeare. Can you help us solve this curious murder case?

By combining various means of puppet theater with elements of escape games, a new format is created, which we want to develop in the concentrated atmosphere of the Kaisersaal in the theater. We invite you not only to watch but to join us in solving puzzles and finding out who could have killed whom and why.

Please note that a maximum of 20 spectators can participate per performance.
