Visit from St. Nicholas at the Ice Skating Rink – supported by Westenergie

A touch of Christmas magic is coming to the ice skating rink in Traben-Trarbach: On Sunday, December 6, 2026, at 4.00 p.m., the ice skating rink will receive a special guest. St. Nicholas will stop by and bring a surprise for the little guests – of course, only while supplies last.

This year again, the visit from St. Nicholas is generously supported by Westenergie. With this, Westenergie contributes to bringing special joy to children and families during the Advent season and strengthening the sense of community in the region.
St. Nicholas will, of course, take the time for his little visitors. Anyone who wishes to meet him personally, exchange a few words, or take a memory photo is warmly welcome. And of course, singing popular Christmas carols together is an essential part of the visit from St. Nicholas. When young and old sing together, it creates the exactly special pre-Christmas atmosphere that makes this afternoon so lovely.

Free admission for true St. Nicholas

There is also a special surprise: Anyone who comes to the ice skating rink in a complete St. Nicholas costume with coat and hat on this afternoon will receive free admission.
This will make the visit from St. Nicholas a special experience for the whole family – with small surprises, personal encounters, and a proper dose of Christmas spirit.
The organizers look forward to many little and big St. Nicholases and an atmospheric afternoon at the ice skating rink.
