A concert of a special kind:
Oud, accordion, cello, and percussion unite East and West in a lively dialogue full of emotion and expressiveness.
The city of Konz invites you to an evening concert with the quartet T’arabBach, which unites traditions and opens new sound spaces.
Arabic melodies meet Baroque sound art and original compositions. Inspired by Bach and carried by the feeling of "T’arab" – a term from Arabic that denotes the profound emotional impact of music. The four musicians of the T’arabBach Quartet create an intense, atmospheric sound world on this evening.
Saif Al-Khayyat (Oud) studied ancient Arabic music in Baghdad. He has been living in Germany for 20 years. Theo Van Der Poel (accordion) and Angela Simons (cello) come from the classical European realm, and Ahmad Abu Siam, born in Damascus, completes the quartet as a percussionist.
Immerse yourself in a new sound world and experience how the language of music brings people together.
Tickets are available for 15.00 €/adults and 12.00 €/students in the tourist information offices in Konz and Saarburg, at Ticket Regional
