Program: The Answer
Breathtakingly virtuosic
With their fresh and dynamic sound, "The Jakob Manz Project" is soaring in the young German jazz scene.
Whether across Germany in clubs or at festivals like the Leverkusen Jazz Days, ELBJAZZ, and Jazz Baltica: The unmistakable energy of this band creates enthusiasm among the audience.
Direct and clear sound, rich dynamics, and emotional depth – these are the outstanding aspects of their music. The band's music is heavily inspired by jazz rock and funk but is enriched by the four artists' personalities with their numerous influences from soul, pop, world music, or hip-hop.
Even though the saxophone of the young bandleader is usually in the spotlight, the musical individuality of each band member is reflected – especially in the diverse pieces of their respective original compositions. Catchy grooves, passionate solos, and intricate interplay, down to crystal-clear, ethereal, or even melancholic sounds – "The Jakob Manz Project" promises a unique evening in the Trier Brunnenhof!
A concert in the series Jazz im Brunnenhof. Jazz im Brunnenhof takes place from July to August, every Thursday at 8:00 p.m.
Jakob Manz – Alto Saxophone
Hannes Stollsteimer – Piano
Frieder Klein – Bass
Leo Asal – Drums
