Concert in Summertime Trio contemporaneo - Saturday, June 6, 2026 at 7 PM in the Ev. Peterskirche Traben
On Saturday, June 6, there will be a Summer Concert at the Ev. Peterskirche Traben, Kirchstr. 79, at 7:00 PM featuring the renowned trio contemporaneo, with instrumentation for violin, organ, piano, speaker, and a small percussion ensemble. The program, titled ‘Bridging Connections’ , links music from the Baroque, Romantic, and Modern eras.
From the Baroque period, works for violin and organ by Albinoni, J.S. Bach, and Tartini will be performed, culminating in Vivaldi's ‘Summer’ from the ‘Four Seasons’ in a virtuosic version for violin and piano. A movement from the sonatina in D major by Franz Schubert will also be heard.
A choral-related trio work by composer Günther Wiesemann, who was born in Hattingen in 1956, will be included as well.
The program offers an interesting cross-section of music from various epochs.
The trio consists of Olga Shonurova on organ, piano, and percussion, Benjamin Nachbar on violin, and Günther Wiesemann on organ, speaker, and percussion.
