Born in Zurich in 1967, Liliane Tomasko received her artistic training at the Royal College of Art in London, where she graduated with a master's degree in 1998. Since then, she has been exploring cartographies of the unconscious with her gestural abstract painting, reflecting both inner states and spatial experiences.
The exhibition at the Ludwig Museum marks the first time a dialogical process of exploring her works from different periods of creativity is presented, revealing her development towards abstraction and including both photographic works from 2014 and abstract drawings from 2019 to 2023.
