Week of Biodiversity: Cuckoo, Beetles, Herbs

Of course, the forest is initially defined by the trees. But it is so much more: It is a habitat for fungi, mosses, ferns, and herbs. Not only do fox and hare say "good night" to each other in the forest, not only are deer, elk, and wild boars forest animals, but also ants, wild bees, butterflies, beetles, birds, snakes, and so on, and so forth.

On the approximately 8 km hike, Manfred Reuter (nature experience guide/culture and wine ambassador) will lead you through the Schweich vineyards and offer various perspectives of Schweich: a look back at the formation of the landscape and urban development, views from above of the landscape-defining Moselle and its surroundings, insights into flora, fauna and their habitats, a glimpse at nature conservation, consideration of viticulture and winemaking, rounded off with a small wine tasting in the vineyard and, finally, a brief outlook on opportunities for further exploration of the topics discussed in the immediate area. Please remember: sturdy footwear, sun protection, and sufficient drinks! Participation is free of charge and limited to 12 participants. Registration at NEB-Manfred@magenta.de or 015125834278
