Handmade and culinary delights attract loving handicrafts, simple and beautiful crafts, regional food and drinks, as well as much more at this year's bazaar at the community center in Nörtershausen.

All proceeds go to people who are not on the sunny side of life. Starting from summer, individual groups begin their work. For example, the revitalized knitting and handicraft group regularly meets to produce warming accessories from a generous donation of yarn and wool for the coming days. The range includes felted slippers, crocheted seat cushions and baskets, knitted knee warmers, wool hats, headbands, socks, and scarves, as well as sewn cushions, aprons, and blankets.

On the day of the event itself, over 100 people are involved each year, actively engaging in the proceedings. The whole village, whether young or old - long-term residents or newcomers - participates in the success. Visitors can choose from handmade gifts, Advent and Christmas decorations, and a fine selection of cookies, juices, liqueurs, and jams. A book bazaar rounds off the offerings.

The event starts at 10 a.m. with a morning pint. Lunch features delights from pot and pan such as wild boar goulash and pot roast with dumplings and red cabbage, schnitzel with fries, hunter’s or paprika sauce, as well as other culinary delights. A large selection of homemade cakes and many other delicacies make the visit a culinary pleasure. In the evening, we conclude the day with Debbekoche, salad plates, and potato salad with boiled sausages.

To warm up, tasty mulled wine, cocoa, and children’s punch must not be missed.
