Handmade and culinary delights attract loving handicrafts, simple and beautiful craftsmanship, regional foods and beverages, as well as much more at this year's bazaar at the Community Center Nörtershausen.

The entire proceeds go to people who are not on the sunny side of life. As early as summer, individual groups begin their work. For example, women regularly meet in the newly revitalized knitting and handicraft circle to create warm accessories for the coming days from a generous donation of yarn and wool. The range includes felted slippers, crocheted seat cushions and baskets, knitted knee warmers, wool hats, headbands, socks, and scarves, as well as sewn cushions, cooking aprons, and blankets.

On the day of the event, over 100 people are involved each year, actively engaging in the process. The entire village, whether young or old—longtime residents or newcomers—contribute to the success. Visitors can choose from handmade gifts, Advent and Christmas decorations, and a fine selection of cookies, juices, liqueurs, and jams. A book bazaar rounds out the offer.

The event begins at 10 AM with a breakfast gathering. For lunch, treats from pot and pan are available, such as wild boar goulash and sauerbraten with dumplings and red cabbage, schnitzel with fries, hunter's or paprika sauce, as well as other culinary delights. A large selection of homemade cakes and many other delicacies make the visit a culinary pleasure. In the evening, we conclude the day with Debbekoche, salad plates, and potato salad with boiled sausages.

To warm up, delicious mulled wine, cocoa, and children's punch are a must.
