Wine Festival of the "Zeller Schwarze Katz"

The Wine Festival of the "Zeller Schwarze Katz" traditionally marks the beginning of the large wine festivals in the Mosel region on the last weekend of June. This year, the celebration will once again take place on the marketplace and the Mosel promenade. Enjoy excellent wines from Zeller winemakers and culinary delights. Look forward to an exciting program featuring top bands from the region, a small fairground, street performers, and much more.

Friday, June 26, 2026
5:00 p.m. Opening of the wine stalls
6:00 p.m. Parade of Zeller associations, musical accompaniment by the music club Irmenach-Beuren
7:00 p.m. Laying of the fair wreath at the Schwarze Katz fountain
7:30 p.m. Official opening of the Wine Festival by Mayor Hans-Peter Döpgen and
                 festive crowning of the new wine queen Alina Pargen and the wine princess Solveig Stürmer
                with the participation of the Mosel Wine Queen Teresa Oster  and the Zeller Kätzchentanzgruppe
approximately 8:30 p.m. Queens' Party with the Band BETOBE

Saturday, June 27, 2026
12:00 p.m. Opening of the wine stalls
1:00 p.m. Musical entertainment with the Swaegele Band
2:00 p.m. Children's activity area (meadow by the Moselle river) – water games, bouncy castle
3:00 p.m. "Golden Delights" Rooftop wine tasting on the wine lounge terrace
              Tickets available through Zeller Land Tourismus GmbH.
6:00 p.m. Wine Festival warm-up with Georg Wenker "unplugged"
From 8:30 p.m. Rock & Pop at the fountain with the band "emotions"

9:30 a.m. Holy Mass at the parish church
11:00 a.m. Opening of the wine stalls
11:00 a.m. Brunch with the orchestra association of the city of Zell
2:00 p.m. Children's activity area (meadow by the Moselle river) – water games, bouncy castle
2:00 p.m. ZELL LAUGHS - street performers & artists

4 – 6 p.m. Happy Hour – each bottle of wine only 10.00 Euro

To the Wine Festival by public transport:

Cochem – Zell: Line 710 and 711 with transfer at Bullay station to line 721 towards Zell Lindenplatz

Traben-Trarbach – Zell: Line 720 with the option to get off at "Zell, Kreisel Schwartze Katz" or until Bullay station and continue with line 721 towards Zell, Lindenplatz

Barl-Zell Line 721 to Zell, Lindenplatz

Blankenrath – Zell Line 752 with the option to get off at "Zell, Notenau" or with line 750 with the option to get off at "Zell, Notenau" or until Bullay, station with transfer to line 721 towards Zell, Lindenplatz.

Return journey with the night bus line: Line 791 departs on the nights Friday/Saturday Saturday/Sunday at 12:05 a.m. from Zell, Lindenplatz via Merl, Bullay, Alf towards Cochem. The stop "Zell, Brücke" will not be served.
