Wildkräuter-Seminar

Seminar on local wild herbs, especially edible, regional, sustainable, vegan superfoods and processing options. The event consists of three blocks: 1-2 hours of introductory lecture (theory and background knowledge), 2-3 hours of herb hike (practice and examples, identifying features) and gathering, lastly about 1-2 hours of processing/preparation of at least two "herb products" to take home; in between 30-60 minutes break (self-catering)

In a comprehensive and varied wild herb seminar, participants will learn both theoretical and practical aspects of our local plant world. The focus is on edible wild herbs and the characteristics by which they can be identified. Some medicinal plants will also be discussed, and we will produce a few homemade herbal products that can be taken home. The event consists of three parts: an introductory lecture, a herb walk, and subsequent processing. The practical part (herb walk) will either take place on-site in Ediger-Eller or we will travel with carpooling to a nearby location (max. 10 minutes away). 30-60 minutes lunch break with self-catering.
