We hike from the railway station in Wiltingen to the Saar's most famous site: the Scharzhofberg.
What makes a Grosse Lage a Grosse Lage and who decides? How many Grosse Lage sites can the Saar call its own and can you taste the difference? Once we have climbed the middle section of the Scharzhofberg, we are rewarded with magnificent views of several unique Grosser Lage vineyards: Ayler Kupp, Schodener Feils, Kanzemer Altenberg & Wiltinger Kupp.
Look forward to a special tour in the footsteps of the wines that so uniquely reflect their origin: It is the soils, the light and shade, the wind, the heat or coolness that make the wines exceptional, that can give them personality and character. The classification is based on a clear philosophy: the closer the origin, the higher the quality.
