Wine hike Riesling & Friends

What else the Saar has to offer.

Riesling is the queen of the white wine varieties and predominates on the Saar. However, in view of climate change, it will be necessary to look at other grape varieties in the long term. A different kind of outlook. We meet high above the rooftops of Saarburg and hike together around the Warsberg. You can expect a varied wine hike through the great Saarburger Rausch and Saarburger Kupp vineyards as well as spectacular views of the Saar's best vineyards: Ockfener Bockstein, Ayler Kupp & Scharzhofberg. Along the way, we taste wines of different grape varieties at selected locations. In addition to Riesling, there are also Burgundy varieties that are waiting to be discovered. The hike ends in the vineyards above the town centre of Saarburg (10 min. to the starting point of the hike or 10 min. walk down to the town).
It is a good idea to start the hike with an exhilarating cable car ride up the Warsberg to the starting point of the hike.
