The Steillagenfest will take place this year in the Wine Learning Trail in Winningen!
Year by year, the hiking festival is becoming more popular, where thousands of guests move from stand to stand, enjoying the magnificent views of vineyard terraces and the Moselle. Winemakers and restaurateurs from Winningen showcase their best drops and culinary delights. The enjoyment of wine in the terraces is something truly special.
Amidst the impressive terraced landscape of the Winningen vineyards, winemakers and hosts offer selected delicacies from kitchen and cellar. Where the winemakers work throughout the year in the vineyards, visitors can enjoy a pleasant hike along the steep slope hiking trail, tasting the specialties of individual winemakers.
Above the path rise the rock terraces, and downstream, they can enjoy the beautiful panorama of the Moselle valley.
At the center is the king of white wines, the Riesling. Whether noble-sweet or dry, the Riesling is always in a class of its own.
On Saturday & Sunday, the popular festival starts at 11:00 AM and will be celebrated until 7:00 PM.
One ticket per person allows entry on both days. Children are admitted free. Young people aged 16 and older need an entrance ticket.
Parking is available along the approach to the Winningen airfield and at Winningen train station. The event route is about 4 km long and easy to hike. The hiking trail is among the most beautiful along the entire Moselle.
