From November 20, 2026 to January 2, 2027 the parking lot in front of the town hall "Alter Bahnhof" in Traben-Trarbach will once again transform into a winter wonderland. As part of the Mosel Wine Night Market, the ice rink invites everyone to enjoy and linger.
Whether experienced skaters, ambitious beginners, or little ice skating newcomers – on the atmospherically illuminated ice skating rink made of synthetic ice, everyone gets their money's worth. While some are already elegantly gliding in circles, others are taking their first cautious steps. That’s exactly what gives it its special charm: It's not about perfection, but about shared winter joy.
Around the regular ice skating operation, a varied program awaits the whole family. Musical highlights such as the big RPR1 Christmas Party and other DJ events meet lovingly designed children's events, the visit of St. Nicholas , and sporting challenges like "Grandma's Hot Water Bottle Curling" with the popular city championships.
And even off the ice rink, there is much to discover: In the cozy gastronomy area , the winter hustle and bustle can be observed in a relaxed manner. Whether hot mulled wine, warming drinks, or sweet and savory treats – the special atmosphere here invites you to linger and enjoy.
The Traben-Trarbach ice skating rink combines fun, entertainment, and a winter flair into a special experience for the whole family – right in the Mosel Wine Night Market and directly in front of the historical backdrop of the “Alter Bahnhof”.

Saturday – Sunday: 11:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.

Ice Skating Rink Prices:
Admission: 5.00/3.00* euros
Skate rental: 3.00/2.00* euros
*reduced (up to 12 years and 65 years +)
Special opening hours of the ice rink for (school) groups outside of normal opening hours are possible by arrangement.
