Adventure trail valley of the wild Endert

  • Cochem

The hike through the "Wilde Endert" from Ulmen to Cochem offers a pristine nature experience.

At the stream of the same name there were once 34 mills that did their work. A hiking suggestion is the section from Maria Martental Abbey to Cochem (12 km). Past the church, it goes downhill along the Sesterbach, which flows into the Endert. A footbridge leads over it. Here the stream plunges 7 m deep as a waterfall. The hiking route is marked with a black arrowhead. First it goes to the Napoleon Bridge. After 200 m you leave the country road on a path that branches off to the left to the stream. This is where the actual "Wild Endert" begins. It goes over rocky paths, over several footbridges and past the mills. The wild and romantic Endert valley is one of the enchanted side valleys of the Moselle. The path was voted Germany's most beautiful hiking trail in 2019.

Can be walked on all year round.
