The “Ausonius Stone” in Lehmen offers an impressive view of the Moselle Valley and the towns of Oberfell, Kattenes, and Alken. The viewpoint is located in a 31-hectare nature reserve and features a shelter as well as a former slate mine.

A notable and very popular viewpoint in the district of Lehmen is the "Ausonius Stone," which juts out into the Moselle Valley. From here, one can also look over the municipalities of Oberfell, Kattenes, and Alken, reaching deep into the Moselle Valley. On the "Ausonius Stone," located in the namesake 31-hectare nature reserve, there is also a small shelter. The area is situated in the district of the local part Moselsürsch and encompasses the valley of the Moselsürsch brook and that of the Flachs brook. Furthermore, there is also an old slate mine here, where Moselle slate was extracted until the 1930s.
