Besucherzentrum & Parkplatz P1

  • Mörsdorf

The visitor centre includes a central car park, the Geierlay restaurant with indoor and outdoor catering, information terminals and a public toilet facility.

Two information screens provide you with information about the bridge and its construction. Switching to the live webcam on the bridge gives you a view of the Geierlay and the Mörsdorf bridgehead in advance. With the touch screen (small screen) you can, for example, call up the local accommodation possibilities and make your booking enquiry free of charge with the telephone mounted next to the screen. In the display you will find flyers about the Geierlay Suspension Bridge and the event flyer of the Geierlay Restaurant. In the Visitor Centre there is a public toilet facility for which a fee is charged (value coupon system). As the machines do not change money, please have small change ready. You can get the key for the disabled toilet in the restaurant. Other toilet facilities are located at the Windorfer Straße car park (P2) and at the sports field (P3). Please note that there are no other sanitary facilities on the way to the bridge and on the hiking trails around the bridge. Attached to the Visitor Centre is the Geierlay Information Point, a branch of the Tourist Information Office of the Kastellaun holiday region. Here you can get all the information you need about the Geierlay suspension bridge and the Kastellaun holiday region. In addition to free flyers and brochures, you can obtain hiking maps of the region, regional products and Geierlay merchandising articles. We will be happy to advise you on planning and booking your stay and guided hikes for individuals or groups.
