Bouleplatz Oberfell

  • Oberfell

Boule court of the community Oberfell The aim of the game is to "lay" the balls of one's own team from a throwing circle as close as possible to the wooden target ball (the "little pig") or to shoot the best opposing ball away from it.

Rules for the simple game of boules Formations There are usually three possible team formations: 1:1 Tête-a-tête - each player has 3 balls 2:2 Doublette - 2 players form a team, each with 3 balls 3:3 Triplette - 3 teams of 3 players, each with 2 balls Start and course of the game Before the first round begins, a draw is made to determine which team will throw the target (a small wooden ball) first. One player of this team draws a circle on the ground (35 - 50 cm in diameter), from which the target ball - also called a piglet - is thrown to a distance of 6-10 meters. The same team now throws a first ball, as close to the target as possible. When throwing, the player's feet must be inside the circle and keep contact with the ground until the ball played touches the ground. Team B now tries to get a ball even closer to the target - if they have succeeded, team A tries to top that ball...and so on until all the balls have been played. If one team has no more balls, the other team tries to place its balls so that they are closer to the target than the opponent's balls closest to the target. This is because each ball of a team that is closer to the target than the best placed ball of the opponent counts one point. Counting and end of game In a round, at least 1 point is awarded (if the second closest ball is already that of an opponent) and in extreme cases 6 points are awarded if all the balls are better placed than the best ball of the opponent. The team that won the round starts the next one as described before. The game is over when a team has won 13 points. Have fun
