Get on board and off we go with the yellow vintage bus to Landshut Castle and back again. Gorgeous views included.
Due to the wine festival of Mittelmosel, the Burg-Landshut Express is currently not operating, expected until September 10, 2026.
Even the ride in the yellow vintage bus is an experience: right through the steep vineyards, past the St. Anna Chapel with its Stations of the Cross, continues to the castle ruins. Here you will experience a unique view over the town and the impressive Mosel valley – an unforgettable experience that you will keep in beautiful memory for a long time. A restaurant café invites you to linger in the courtyard.
The return journey goes over the old youth hostel above the castle, further through the romantic Bernkasteler Schweiz. Here, the "Tiefenbach" winds through the valley, gnawing at a massive mountain ledge and plunging as a rushing waterfall into the depths. Steep above the waterfall, you will see the "Tinkeler Heiligenhäuschen" (Maria-Hilf Chapel) on a rocky outcrop. On the main road, it goes through the Burgbergtunnel back to Bernkastel.
Route uphill ("Am Gestade" - "Burg Landshut")
Daily in season every hour on the hour from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. from the bus stop "Am Gestade" directly opposite the DEINHARD's hotel.
Route downhill ("Burg Landshut" - "Am Gestade")
Daily in season at 20 minutes past the hour from 11:20 a.m. to 4:20 p.m. from the bus stop in front of Burg Landshut.
