City tour

  • Konz

Explore the sights of the modern and young city of Konz with a tour guide.

In Roman times, Konz was called Contionacum. The Romans were already aware of the advantages of Konz and built a summer residence for their emperor Valentinian I above today's church hill. The magnificent palace offered a marvellous view of the confluence of the Saar and Moselle rivers, which also inspired the Roman poet Ausonius for his poem ‘Mosella’. Walk in the footsteps of the Romans with the Roman senator Aurelius and learn interesting facts about the Roman Council.
