Collis-Turm

  • Zell (Mosel)

Collis Tower High above the vineyards of Zell (Mosel), on a hill, you can see the tower built of red brick in 1906.

Previously, a shelter stood in the same place, which, however, fell victim to a "fire devil." For this reason, the local group Zell of the former Mosel-Hochwald-Hunsrück Association decided to build the Collis Tower. The Moseltalbahn provided the building material for the masonry. The tower, which is now clearly visible from afar, has a height of just under eight meters and features a weather vane on its roof. The Collis Tower, with its observation platform, is a popular destination for hikers, offering a wonderful view of Zell and the Mosel valley from here.
