Collis Tower
High above the vineyards of Zell (Mosel), on a hill, stands the tower built of red brick in 1906. A shelter used to stand at the same location, but it fell victim to a "fire devil." For this reason, the local group Zell of the then Mosel-Hochwald-Hunsrück association decided to construct the Collis Tower. The Moseltalbahn provided the building materials for the masonry. The now widely visible tower is nearly eight meters tall and has a weather vane on the roof. The Collis Tower, with its observation platform, is a popular destination for hikers, who enjoy a magnificent view of Zell and the Mosel Valley from here.
