The Saar rises as the Red and White Saar at the foot of the 1008 metre high Donon in the Northern Vosges in France. After a few kilometres, the two rivers join to form the Saar. In a 250-kilometre-long river course, it flows from south to north and finally flows into the Moselle in Konz. The artwork at the mouth of the Saar by Christoph Mancke is a stone that rests in itself due to its triangular basic shape. On the side facing the mouth of the river is a recess that makes it possible to sit in the stone. It is quieter in the stone and the sound of the water is amplified.
