Cultural Path of Religions

  • Cochem

There are holy places in every religion. On the circular hiking trail, learn about the testimonies of Christianity, Judaism and ancient religions of the Celts, Romans and Franks.

The hiker will find information and descriptions on valuable glass panels, e.g .: about Judaism in the region, about religion, wine, creation and the forest. Along the route, the former synagogues, the prominent St. Martin Church with the richly decorated Gothic slate helmet in Europe and Germany's third oldest Way of the Cross up to the Kreuzkapelle with the famous one open up Stone relief "Christ in the winepress". Exceptional benches can be found in secluded forest spots. Down over the prayer path in the Pehr Valley, we pass a small chapel to the Maria Hermitage Chapel on the banks of the Moselle.
