Doppelstock-Brücke Bullay

  • Bullay

The bridge in Bullay is Germany's first double-deck bridge.

The 314-meter-long bridge was built between 1875 and 1878 during the construction of the Koblenz – Trier railway as part of the "Cannons Railway". During World War II, supplies were transported over the bridge to the Western Front. On February 10, 1945, it was destroyed in an air raid and was rebuilt and put into operation on April 24, 1947.
