In Saarburg there is a new attractive offer. The audio-guided listening tour "City Tour Saarburg" invites you to an exciting discovery tour.

At a total of 14 stations, the history of the medieval city comes to life. The tour lasts about one and a quarter hours and covers a distance of 2 kilometers, leading to historical sites, to Saarburg's Little Venice, past the roaring waterfall, through the old town of Saarburg with its colorful fishermen’s and boatmen's houses, and through narrow picturesque alleys up to the castle complex high above the Saar.

The Saarburg listening tour encourages you to take a closer look and tells the stories of the city in an interesting, entertaining, and very personal way. Local history experts also share their knowledge. For example, you will learn how Saarburg got its waterfall and what the mills were all about. The riddle of the wine region Saarburger Rausch is solved, and it is explained why Saarburg was the ideal location for the bell foundry. You can download the “Listening Tour App” for free from the App Store or Google Play. Then select "City Tour Saarburg" and off you go. The smartphone will then navigate through the tour via GPS and automatically start the contribution at the respective listening points. The contents are stored offline at the start, so no internet connection is needed during the tour.
