Even before 1300, the citizens of Briedel began to protect their town against attacks and raids with a massive protective wall, a wall.

"Eulenturm" (Owl tower)
Already before 1300 the citizens of Briedel started to protect their village with a solid wall, against attacks. The owl tower was the main tower. Climate influences let him partly collapse. The entrance was spilled. Only still the birds could live in the tower. Since this time the tower has his name. A wall strength of approx. 60 cm. has a diameter the tower of 6. 50 m and below
