A symbol of European solidarity
The Europabrunnen is a work by the artist August Lebenstedt, who passed away in 1996. It was created in 1974 and depicts Europe with the bull. Kröv has a very special relationship with Europe. Since 1953, an International Costume Festival of the Moselle has been celebrated annually. Costume groups and music bands from all over Europe and beyond meet every year on the first weekend of July in Kröv to share their culture and traditions with each other. Highlights include the crowning of the new "Mosella," the unique river celebration on the floating Moselle stage, and the grand parade on Sunday. A large wine festival is celebrated on all festival days.
