For the minority of Protestant citizens in Cochem and the surrounding area, the foundation stone for a church of their own was laid in 1892 - in Oberbachstraße directly opposite the Protestant parish hall where services had been celebrated since the congregation was founded in 1846. Already one year later, the first service could be celebrated in the new church building. This was made possible above all by the support of the Ravené family. They also arranged for the design and execution to be commissioned to the Berlin architectural firm that had just completed the rebuilding of the Reichsburg. The design is adapted to the historicising taste of the time. The glazing was destroyed in an air raid in 1945. In the choir, new windows (1967) designed by Eugen Keller are worth seeing. An urgently needed interior renovation began in April 2020.
