The fortress lift in Koblenz takes you comfortably and in just a few minutes from the district of Ehrenbreitstein up to the impressive Ehrenbreitstein Fortress, high above the Rhine and Moselle.
As a modern funicular, you glide almost silently up about 94 meters in height and enjoy an impressive view of the historic surroundings. The valley station is centrally located in the town center, and the mountain station is directly on the fortress grounds – ideal for visitors who want to reach the cultural center with the state museum, events, and gastronomy without a strenuous climb.
The elevator is designed to be barrier-free and is therefore also comfortable for families with strollers, elderly people, and wheelchair users. It is integrated into public transport and operates like a normal elevator: with the press of a button, you start your ride daily from early morning until late at night. On the fortress grounds, there is also access to the hiking trail "Rheinsteig".
