Early Franconian burial ground

In the middle of the wine and nature educational path is an information board on the early Franconian burial ground. A burial ground was discovered here at the end of 1985. 267 graves were scientifically exhumed and documented. Based on the density and excavations of the graves known to date, it is assumed that half the cemetery has currently been exhumed. If this assumption is correct, then one of the largest of the known Merovingian-Franconian burial sites in the Rhine-Moselle region has been discovered in Müden.
