Kastorbrunnen

Despite the great defeat, neither the fountain nor the inscription were removed. Instead, on January 1, 1814, the Russian commander of Koblenz, after the victorious conquest of the Rhineland by Blücher's army, added a further lettering on January 1, 1814, which humorously invalidates the first. Today the fountain is more to the west of its original location, the group of figures was removed as early as the 19th century, but apart from that it is still one of the most important sources of water in Koblenz.
