- Ediger-Eller
The branch chapel of the Eller parish church, which was dedicated to the Hilarius pupil "Martin of Tours", became the parish church "St. Martin" of Ediger in 1142.
Romanesque remains and Gothic completion (around 1506) present themselves in the beauty visible today. A picturesque gallery connects the choir side with the church gate of the city wall built in 1363. In the west rises the over 50 m high bell tower, an outstanding example of late Gothic design. The octagonal helmet is the most ornate Gothic slate steeple helmet in Christendom.
