Catholic Church The present church of Peterswald was built in 1765/66. The church, which is located in the middle of the village, is a hall building with a stepped choir. The former west gable was given its present front in 1923 by a tower construction. Special features of the bell tower are the sound openings on all sides, a curved spire and a cross. The wall paintings of the very old altar show the arrest of Jesus and how he taught the five disciples. The motif of the altar, the figures of Mary and John under Jesus hanging on the cross, can also be found in the centre of the mensa, somewhat altered. In honour of the apostles Peter and Paul, the parish church still has an old bronze bell from 1463. Church service: Sundays in alternation with Löffelscheid.
