Kinheim Carnival Association
The "Kunnemer Wooschtpänz" present themselves...
Our club looks back on over 70 years of tradition. In the 1930s and after the war, the "Club Mitternacht" and the "blue sparks" served as the predecessors of the "Kunnemer Wooschtpänz".
In the early to mid-1950s, a group of young men came together; Edmund Molitor, Heinz Ames, Willi Mathy, Alfred Mathy, Paul Molitor, Hermann Kaufmann, and Manfred Sliwka. They founded the carnival club "Die Kunnemer Wooschtpänz" in 1956. This club was renamed in 1987 to "Karnevalsverein Die Kunnemer Wooschtpänz" with a significantly younger team, of course including female guards.
The Kinheim carnival tradition, including the gala cap session, the festive parades, and the children's carnival, has been an integral part of Kinheim's village culture for decades, where mainly young people from our village showcase their artistic talents.
Beyond the local borders, our club is known for its high-quality carnival events. A special touch arises from the occasional collaboration with our jovial neighboring clubs at various events. Thanks to this positive development, our club and the local carnival tradition are well-equipped for the future. To all our patrons and friends from this side, a festive "Kunnemer Wooschtpänz" HELAU!
