KKV "Wooschtpänz" e.V.

  • Kinheim

The carnival tradition in Kinheim, such as the gala cap meeting, the carnival parades and the children's carnival, has been an integral part of Kinheim's village culture for decades, in which young people from our village demonstrate their artistic talents. As beyond the village borders, our association is known for its high-quality carnival events. A special touch results from the occasional cooperation with our foolish neighbouring associations at various events. Thanks to this positive development, our association and the local carnival tradition are well prepared for the future. To all our patrons and friends from this side a foolish "Kunnemer Wooschtpänz" HELAU!

The "Kunnemer Wooschtpänz" introduce themselves...

Our club can now look back on a tradition of over 60 years. The forerunners of the "Kunnemer Wooschtpänz" were the "Club Mitternacht" and the "blaue Funken" in the 1930s and after the war.

In the early to mid-1950s, a group of young men formed: Edmund Molitor, Heinz Ames, Willi Mathy, Alfred Mathy, Paul Molitor, Hermann Kaufmann and Manfred Sliwka. In 1956 they founded the carnival club "Die Kunnemer Wooschtpänz". In 1987, the club was renamed "Karnevalsverein Die Kunnemer Wooschtpänz" (The Kunnemer Wooschtpänz Carnival Club), with a considerably younger team and, of course, guards.
