The newly designed riverbank in Saarstraße in Konz is a lovely meeting point for everyone and invites you to linger. On the wide seating steps with direct water access, you can bask in the sun, watch the passing ships, cyclists, and pedestrians, and enjoy the view of the river. Just a few meters further, opposite the boat landing stage, there is a small dreamy park: the Maierspark. As part of the renaturation of the Konz stream that runs through the park, a complete redesign has also taken place here. Three "islands" have been created, connected by bridges and walkways. Seating areas, lounge chairs, resting spots, and a barbecue station create a place of relaxation right in the city. Children can play by the water, and there are also play equipment for toddlers, as well as a multifunctional area with a ball net that allows for various sports activities.
