Moselsteig Stage 18 (Beilstein-Cochem)

  • Cochem

Anyone who has mastered this stage and its numerous steep slopes can understand the hardships involved in winegrowing on the Moselle.

Anyone who has mastered this stage and its numerous steep slopes can understand the hardships involved in viticulture on the Moselle. The rocky paths along the edge of the slope require some surefootedness, but long stretches offer unforgettable views over the Moselle. Finally, the path leads below the vertical rock face of the Brauselay, from where the stage destination Cochem is already in view, towered over by its magically beautiful Reichsburg. With this beautiful goal in mind, the Moselsteig Trail leads down into the hospitable city.

Short profile Total length: 13.8 km Highest point: 320m Lowest point: 80 m Duration: approx. 4 hours Difficulty level: medium
