- Palzem/Kreuzweiler
The log cabin museum, with its unique architecture and an exhibition space of more than 400m², has astounded numerous visitors due to its construction entirely out of log wood in the old carpentry tradition. The exhibition includes more than 40 bulldog tractors and tractors from the Lanz, Hanomag, Deutz, Fendt and Normag companies from the 20s to the 50s. There are also numerous agricultural machines such as hay carts, threshers, binders, ploughs, reaper-binders, stationary engines and a mobile bandsaw on show. The jewel in the crown of the collection is a 55HP Lanz Bulldog Express, which spent 40 years sitting in a shed. This former Wehrmacht towing vehicle was once used in the Orscholz Switch area on the Western Front.
Tip: Depending on the season, there are presentations on typical rural work such as baking bread, pressing cider, threshing, harvesting and ploughing with traditional working equipment.
