The station is unstaffed.
The station, completed in 1878 (formerly a building for passenger and freight transport), is one of the stops on the Trier-Koblenz route.
Even at the end of the 1950s, there was a regulated freight service - mainly for wine shipping.
There were two waiting rooms, a ticket hall, and a warehouse.
The railway was a significant employer for the town. Many Neefer were employed at the stations in Cochem and Bullay.
