Ortsgemeinde Klotten

  • Klotten

Not only wine but also slate have left their mark on Klotten.

Not only wine, but also slate have left their mark on Klotten. From here, the "Moselle slate" was loaded onto barges and shipped all over the world. The village is criss-crossed by narrow alleys, stairways and passages that lead past the stone and half-timbered houses, some of which date back to the 16th century. The village is overlooked by the ruins of the medieval Coraidelstein Castle.
